Dennis Page
3rd - 17th November 2007

Born in 1930, Dennis Page studied art at Harrow and the Central School of Arts and Crafts, where his tutors included Ruskin Spear and Mervyn Peake. After national service as a pilot, he went into advertising, first as an art director and then as a copy-writer working mainly for television. For some twenty years he was Creative Director on Esso and created the Esso Tiger campaigns that ran worldwide.

His watercolours have been exhibited widely in one-man shows and in the RWS and RI open exhibitions. He is best known for his architectural and figurative paintings, giving each locality a sense of place with freshness and spontaneity.
