We are delighted to host Marks of a Changing Season, our first one-man show for Paul Treasure at The Wykeham Gallery. Whilst we have worked together for many years, this will be the first time that we will fill the entire gallery with his superb work and it will be his first one-man show for several years.
Marks of a Changing Season will feature a wide range of Paul's recent works. From overgrown riverbanks to atmospheric ocean blues, the exhibition shows Treasure’s unique ability to capture the transient spirit of the natural world.
Paul's energetic artwork often features dramatic interpretations of the English landscape. His use of mixed media creates distinctive mark-making that has led to his work being displayed and celebrated around the world.
Together with his signature use of a palette knife, Paul's application of colour and attention to light gives each of his paintings a tangible sense of depth. Whether reflecting chaos or calm, his paintings are unified by their ability to portray the essence of nature.
While he currently resides in Hampshire, Paul travels the country and the world to find inspiration.
This will undoubtedly be a very exciting and well-supported exhibition.
